DSACC is thrilled to finally rolling out our Skills Center Academy! The goal of the Skills Academy is to minimize learning loss, improve math and reading skills, improve social development, or improve other specific skills. Each session will serve students with Down syndrome and is led by two certified teachers.
With this being our first session, we are looking for four to six individuals with Down syndrome who are 16 years or older (no age too old!) who are looking to work on one to two specific skills from their IEP, or life skills if they are no longer in school.
As our first class, we will also not be charging any fees as we work out any kinks in our planning- so thank you in advance for being our guinea pigs!
The first session will run all 4 weeks of July, meeting 2-3 times per week at the DSACC Office. Times yet to be determined.
If you would like to apply to be part of our first class please download and return this application
To enhance the quality of life for all people whose lives are touched by Down syndrome.
We envision a community that demonstrates acceptance, inclusion and appreciation for those who have Down syndrome.
