That’s a Wrap for Step Up for Down Syndrome 2016

I don’t know about you but I think this was one of the most fun years yet for Step Up for Down Syndrome! We don’t have numbers yet but everyone did an incredible job gathering teams and donations! Thank you so much for coming out and celebrating with us!
Three cheers for our award winners this year! These awards were decided by totals on October 1, 2016. Congratulations to our following 2016 winners:
- Largest Team: Business Division, Central Valley Regional Center
- Largest Team: Individual Division, Top Gun Gage, close behind with 1 walker separating each team was Team Nevaeh and Team Mitali.
- Largest Team: School Division, Kerman Pride followed by Roosevelt Preschool
- Largest Fundraisers: Team Ava Fernandes, raising over $7,000, followed by Team Super Wy and Team Lawlipops
- Best Spirit: Team Noah’s Skywalkers
Hopefully everyone got a chance to enjoy the INCREDIBLE entertainment by The Blues Brothers from The Creative Center-Visalia, the rocking tunes from our DJ Steve Albert & Sound Systems, the death-defying and awe inspiring performances by Break the Barriers and the entertaining chatter of our emcees, Dr Michael Allshouse and Brandon Gruber. And thank you Parker from the Fresno Grizzlies and George from Valley Children’s Hospital, so glad they were able to stop by to enjoy the fun!
And let’s not forget our wonderful exhibitors; Lithia Nissan Hyundai of Fresno, Valley Children’s Hospital, Patch Farms, Fresno State Wayfinders, Clovis Infant Toddler Intervention Program, Central Valley Regional Center, The FRIENDS Program, ARC Fresno/Madera Counties, Disability Rights California, Thrivent Financial, Handmade Hope, The Creative Center Visalia, LARCS (OMG their jellies are good!), Kona Shaved Ice, Resources for Independence Central Valley, Best Buddies… so many wonderful booths full of information and wonderful take homes!
