Hosting our second family camp, CAMP TRI:21 was a success! On March 22-24, we had the opportunity to take 15 families along with 24 counselors to Camp Arroyo- a facility based in Livermore, CA for a weekend getaway to relax, connect and adventure together as a family.
We kicked off camp with a REMARKABLE dance party Friday night. Thanks to the incredible effort of our dj, Club Anywhere, kiddos, parents and counselors danced like no one was watching… in a fog machine and under disco-lights.
Saturday was filled with more fun; each family had the opportunity to sign up for the activities they were interested in which included arts & crafts, lawn games, nature scavenger hunts, horse rides and plenty of zip lining and rock wall climbing!
We had a toasty bonfire Saturday evening where we enjoyed some delicious s’mores and sang some silly and entertaining camp songs. We finished the night with an outstanding puppet show! The actors performed Alice in Wonderland and it had everyone laughing and enjoying the show!
Sundays pace for activities slowed down and gave us a chance to relax. Parents had a calming yoga session with JoyaYoga before loading into cars and busses to head home. All the children and counselors had the chance to plant their own seeds to take home and the planting was all done, the kiddos enjoyed some outdoor activities while parents packed up their luggage.
We are so grateful to our camp host, The Taylor Family Foundation- their facility is top notch and we could not be more blessed for this opportunity. Thank you to Dayka Hackett, LLC & Central California Women’s Conference who sponsored the charter bus and provided shirts for all our campers and counselors. Thank you, East Bay YMCA, – staff made us feel so welcomed at Camp Arroyo.
We would love to have more families join us so stay tuned for next year’s registration!
