Camp is March 27-29, 2020 at Camp Arroyo in Livermore, CA
We are so excited to head back to camp and can’t wait to sing around the camp fire with you! If you haven’t heard about camp before- it is an incredible weekend away for our families with a child between 5-22 years old that happen to have Down syndrome. Siblings, parents and individuals with Down syndrome enjoy a relaxing, invigorating (and sometimes rainy) weekend at Camp Arroyo courtesy of The Taylor Family Foundation. Everything is FREE of charge!
There are comfortable cabins with bunk beds that you will share with other families, delicious meals (can be tailored for all dietary needs), rock wall climbing, zip lining, hikes, crafts, adventures, and of course a camp fire with s’mores!
Here’s how your family can join the fun!
- Fill out the application and submit it to DSACC Staff. This does not guarantee you a spot at camp. We will go in order of receipt and will notify families as soon as they are accepted so you can get us your deposit to hold your spot!
The application is available online at: https://forms.gle/vbd95xZUHV6kc4VaA or contact DSACC staff for an application.
- Deposit to attend camp will be $200. Our cancellation policy is that notification must be received (and confirmed) by March 1, 2020 for a full refund. Cancellations after March 1, 2020 will receive half of the deposit back. *We understand if an emergency arises last minute and appreciate you notifying us. We will make some exceptions for refunds.
- Transportation: DSACC is lucky enough to have funding to charter a bus to take families that need transportation to & from camp! This year there will be a $15 per rider deposit – to be returned after camp. Cancellation of bus seats after March 1, 2020 will not be refunded.
- All paperwork for camp must be received no later than March 1, 2020 or you will be in jeopardy of losing your cabin space to a family on the wait list. Deadlines will be enforced to make sure camp is full and everyone that wants a spot has a spot.
